What do you do if you don’t have a gym membership?  You YouTube your workouts and get your workout from home! Yes that is exactly what I did this evening and it was great! My whole family worked out together. Yes the kids found it hilarious and laughed at me, so I guess you could say I provided the evenings entertainment for them.  It was super cheap too, just cost me some sore abs and thighs! Oh yeah,I am going to feel that in the morning!  I would have loved to get out for a run tonight but with kids and responsibilities at home it is hard to find a way to fit that in sometimes.  I think the biggest problem I hear people say they have about working out, including myself is that they cannot find the time. Especially as a Mom that works full time it is hard to find that time in the day for yourself. The question is if you are not taking care of yourself, how are you going to take care of everybody else?  Yes I know there are 4 loads of laundry in baskets piled up in the living room, a sink full of dishes, kids agenda’s to sign at night, the list goes on and on.  The thing is, none of those things are going to go away.  They are still going to be there after your 30 minutes of cardio I promise.

What I have learned is that exercise is essential to your mental and physical well being.  I can tell such a big difference in how I feel when I do workout compared to times when I slack off.  When you work out your stress level will decrease and your energy level will go up. You lower your risk of heart disease, you sleep better at night and of course you are burning calories! You will feel so good that you worked out, you are going to be much more likely to stick to your healthy choices! So just make a like a Nike shoe and just do it! Too corny?  Well you get the gist..work out people! You will live longer, you will look better and you will just be happier all around.

  1. Your tips for going to restaurants and ordering is so helpful. I especially agree with looking for smaller plates!! I have tried to get more into that..and sharing!
